Ganapati Lakshman Makali

Ganapati Lakshman Makali, a farmer from Belgaum district, Karnataka.He is a successful integrated farmer. For the past two years, he has been cultivating Taiwan Guava on one of his ten acres of land, generating a monthly income of fifteen thousand rupees from this crop. In addition to this, Ganapati cultivates sugarcane. Coming from a family with a background in sugarcane farming, Ganapati ventured into dairy farming. The two cows he acquired eight years ago now yield eight to ten liters of milk every day, which he sells in the local market, earning him a daily income of four to five hundred rupees. Alongside dairy farming, he has been raising chickens for the past eight years, selling them annually to cover his weekly expenses. Impressed by the success of Taiwan Guava, Ganapati has established a Guava plant nursery to meet local demand and has produced 3,500 saplings over the last two years.
