CP Krishna

CP Krishna is a successful farmer hailing from Mandya, Karnataka. He has earned the prestigious “Sreshta Krishi Pandit” award of Karnataka. He was born in a agricultural family. Due to some unforeseen circumstances he lacked formal education but learned farming from his parents. Initially, he cultivated rice and sugarcane with chemical-intensive methods. But, he later transformed to natural farming after realizing its benefits. Currently, he cultivates various cereals and ensures a sustainable agricultural life. Besides cereals, he also grows organic rice, sugarcane, coconuts, and nuts. He specializes in cereal cultivation, crop management, water and fertilizer management, disease control, harvesting, storage, and marketing, including online-offline strategies and value addition.
