With vast experience in rainwater harvesting, he's built numerous lakes and rejuvenated tubewells across India, earning recognition in the Limca Book of Records 2012. His accomplishments include the President's Award for Swachh Bharat Mission, Krishi Chetana Award and Bangalore Change Maker Award from Karnataka Government. On his 38-acre land, Ayyappa practices rice, vegetable, fruit, and forest cultivation, planting 10,000 trees like blood sandalwood and malabar neem. Since 2013, he's committed to organic farming, also nurturing 80 sheep and goats.
